At our play date last week, Sonja and Alexis created a beautiful finger knit together to hang their playsilks. Finger knitting was one of my favorite activities that my children learned at Waldorf school, and I'm very excited to share Sonja and Alexis' beautiful creation with you.
You can make your own finger knit together with your children in 3 simple steps.
Before you begin, I recommend choosing a thick yarn to knit easily and quickly. The yarn we used is from Love Fest Fibers - a wonderful brand that I highly recommend!Children love this activity as it challenges their fine motor skills and gives them a sense of accomplishment when they finish! I think that parents will find the process meditative and rewarding as well.
