A Sustainble Gift Wrapping Alternative
Furoshiki is an ancient Japanese art used for wrapping gifts, clothing, or other items. It's a beautiful way to give presents during the holiday season and also helps reduce waste. It's also a great way for little ones to practice or help wrapping, since they're not wasting tape or risking paper cuts.
It can be done with any square scrap of fabric, but if you choose to use a playsilk it can also double as a second gift!
Here's an easy, step by step guide to wrapping your own Furoshiki
I hope to inspire some of you to choose to wrap your gifts with scraps of fabric or silks. In our effort to promote sustainability, we will add a mini playsilk in all orders $25 and up; a regular playsilk in all orders $50 and up; and a giant playsilk in all orders $99 and up, to help add to your collection of eco-friendly wrapping options this Holiday season.
