Josh (string game and cotton cloth maker), Sarah (multi-tasker, designer), Morgan (product tester), Noah (scholar), Mike (operations manager), Talulah (puppy)

This has been a summer of change for us, and bittersweet.

Our son Noah has gone to college in Walla Walla, WA. And do we ever miss him. Before he left we all wrapped up in a giant starry night scape for a rare family photo.

My dad died suddenly, in Maine and we honored him in Mount Shasta at a Buddhist monastery. They have beautiful funerals and kind monks.

These life events remind me how short our time is parenting, and being on earth. I have become an older mamma now, reminding the new, young exhasted ones:

It goes fast. Really. It does.

Enjoy each moment as much as you can.

Practice gratitude.

leave me a comment and enter to win a starry night scape to wrap your family in! I will choose the winner September 1.

  • Sarah~ your lofty, elegant, light- colored silk hangs near my door in my home. I pass it everytime I leave to work with others who don’t have the grounding that I know to be true or can’t find gratitude or peace. Your silk reminds me to savor the little eyes of the children that I work with, always remembering that in a blink they will be grown. It also inspires me to see the beauty in the second fiddles of the world. Thank you for your inspiring words and your beautiful products.
