I bought some play silks when my daughter was about 6 months old and it’s been so fun watching her, and her play style, grow with these! She’s 16 months now and starting to get into pretend play. Her favorite thing to do now is to take one of the play silks and “dry dry dry” her stuffies. It’s the cutest!

Love these ideas. My son loves to use his as dragon wings, super hero capes, and roofs for play forts!

Both my kids and I love play silks. They are compact so they don’t take up a ton of space and my kids use them in so many different ways.

We love our playsilks! My son is an avid fort builder, and he was so happy to add the silks to his collection of blankets and sheets. They’re lightweight and easy for him to tie together so he can make longer ones if he wants, and the fort clips are great for holding things in place. Our youngest recently started asking us to wrap her favorite stuffie in a silk like a swaddle, which has been so cute!

We like pretend play. We love the quality of the swords and shield. We started when my LO was 2. Big fan of being a dinosaur. I also give them as gifts as the gift of pretend play that is a gift that keeps on giving.
I love Sarah’s silk and thank you for this list.

Our favorite way to use playsilks is making nature scenes like water, ice and fire for our animal figurines. We also love using them as capes or baby doll blankets.

We love using playsilks to make a nature play scenes: ice, green grass, yellow sand, blue water. And playing peekaboo with play silks was the first meaningful interaction between our baby and oldest child 🥰

We have large and small ones. The large ones are (obviously) amazing for fort building. The kids use the fort clips as well as any other clippy-things they can find around the house.

Love all of these!! Single Mom here trying to keep the kids busy this summer.

We’ve been using playsilks as a family for over 20 years now. They are the most versatile toy we own. So far we’ve only purchased the smaller sizes. Our 4 boys are all grown up now but they loved to make them into the most clever parts of their castle/road play.. we saw some trampolines/nets to catch villains or roads that were perfect for off-roading, lots of super hero capes. When we adopted our younger 3 girls we saw a whole new version of play! Our girls are very “girly” and use them for all the pretty things! My youngest makes skirts, baby blankies, and her current favorite (shown how by my 18yr old son!) a supergirl cape! I love that any child, any age can find a creative way to play.

We are currently obsessed with pretending to be a “queen” and wrapping the Playsilks around our shoulders, but also we tie them like “beagle scouts” and go on adventures!! I love that the uses have changed as my daughter grows!!

My daughter ties a long one in her hair and pretends to be Rapunzel!
