Sarah’s Silks are the one play purchase that truly grows with our son. From year one with peek-a-boo and sensory/water play to year two incorporating them into movement. Year three has evolved into imaginary play creating scenes and dress up and as we near 4 it just gets better and better. Playsilks are my go to gift for every birthday party we attend.

We love Sarah’s silks. Both my babies have chewed on them and my oldest plays with them now. I’ve even worn them as scarves to let my baby chew on them when he’s being baby worn. We love the quality.

We have loved Sarah’s Silks for creating beautiful puppet shows for our homeschool Waldorf experience. I have twin 7-year-old boys and it inspired one of my boys so much he started making his own stories complete with puppets and Sarah’s Silks for the backdrop. And when friends come over, they love grabbing the silks and creating stories for each other if I don’t have time to tell them one. I also splurged on the double rainbow for Christmas to decorate their bedroom ceiling! I buy them for birthday presents for friends every chance I get and love wrapping presents in them!

My daughter likes to lay the Playsilks flat on the ground. When her younger brother was a baby, she would put stuffed animals on them, treating them as “tummy time” mats for the stuffed animals. Now that she’s older, she still likes to lay them flat, but may pretend that they are different “islands” or “planets”. (For example, the starry planet, the rainbow planet, the fire planet, etc.)

My daughter’s favorite way to play with the playsilks is when we make a simple pulley system. She loves putting her dolls in the playsilk, trying it with paracord and seeing it lift and fall. We usually toss the paracord over a tree branch or the railing at home.

Playsilks are a sample in our house! We purchased our first set of playsilks for our daughter’s 1st birthday, and have purchased more throughout the year. My daughter uses the playsilks as capes, blankets for her stuffed animals, and more! These are amazing quality and we will be purchasing more for my daughter’s 2nd birthday.

My 13 month olds favorite way to play with her playsik is the classic peekaboo. We started when she was 10 months old and it was the cutest thing when she started initiating play with me by hiding herself with them. The baby laughter hasn’t stopped since then❤️

We use our playsilks every day as accessories for music and movement. By far my kids’ favorite activity is washing them. A bucket of soapy water and a few silks is enough to occupy them for ages! My daughter also enjoys using hers as a baby sling for her toys and dolls.
Once, we even used one as a naptime blanket during an unexpected ER visit.
