Playsilks have opened up endless wander in our home and community! My daughter feels inspired through creative play wherever she is, and her silks enhance these opportunities. She loves to wear her silks with her daily outfits, and is so excited to share in the joy with her friends. Silks are also very soothing and we find comfort in the soft and inviting texture. Sarah’s Silks has been woven into my daughter’s childhood since she was just nine months old.
I still remember opening our very first silk and instantly falling in love with the brand. The way it was wrapped, the little card that came with it… ugh!! Pure magic. It felt like opening something truly special.
Looking back now, I smile because those silks have grown right alongside her.
At first, they were something soft to touch, wave around, and snuggle with. Now, at two years old, they’ve become capes, blankets, picnic mats, hiding spots, and pieces of whatever world she’s creating that day. Watching her imagination blossom through something so simple, yet so unique, has been one of my favorite parts of motherhood.
But Sarah’s Silks have given us so much more than beautiful play. They’ve filled her little playroom with color, warmth, and magic. Every person who steps into her room stops for a moment to admire them. They always tell me how magical her space feels, and I truly believe the silks are a big part of that feeling.
I know these silks will outlast the toddler years. They’ll continue growing with her, and I can only hope that one day they’ll become part of her own children’s childhood too. That thought alone makes them priceless to me.
Childhood is so fleeting, and if there’s one thing I hope she carries with her long after she’s outgrown her playroom, it’s the feeling that she was free to imagine, dream, and simply be little.

We are working on collecting more but only have the minis right now, My kids often dress up as pirates with head scarves, capes and have me tie scarves around their waists and arms. They use them to tuck their stuffed animals in, throw them up in the air, dance with them. And a current favorite is to take and do laundry with them. The scarves have been dish towels, food, cleaning rags, leaves, snow balls that are thrown at each other, water being dumped on their heads, garbage/dirt for their excavators to pick up and put in garbage trucks or dump trucks. Pretty much anything my boys can imagine they have turned into at some point in time. And then we also love to do sensory for baby. Baby has chewed on them, played peek-a-boo with them and enjoyed waving them around. We first started buying play silks 2yrs ago and they have never been taken out of toy rotation due to how much they are played with!

My daughter’s favorite way to play with the silks is #92 Sensory Play!! She is a huge sensory girl and that is why I bought her the mini play silks. She loves the feeling of them and can touch it for hours. I am excited to see all of the endless other options that we can try with them though!! So many cute ideas!! But thank you for making such a simple sensory item for my daughter!!

My granddaughters use the playsilks for everything: costumes, baby clothes and blankets, forts, backdrops…my favorite thing is that I just get the scarves out and watch imagination bloom.

I am a kids yoga and mindfulness teacher…. one of my favorite ways to use your silks is gently floating the rainbow silk over the children during savasana for “rainbow” kisses!
