Large May Day Playsilk

$36.00

We collaborated with artist Stephanie Green of Wilded Family to bring you a special collection of Playsilks designed to facilitate in-home May Day celebrations - we hope you love them!

Large May Day Playsilks are 44" x 44", made from heavyweight, 100% pure mulberry silk.

May Day Playsilks honor the European festival of ancient origins marking the beginning of summer, usually celebrated on May 1st. May Day is celebrated in Waldorf schools and homes across the world. We hope this collection inspires families to try bringing seasonal traditions such as May Day into their homes.

This limited edition celebration Playsilk comes in three sizes - Mini for small world play and nature tables, Playsilks to wear as a cape or laying down on the floor to practice Maypole dancing, and Large for hanging on classroom and playroom walls or for gathering around as a group.

Playsilks are inspiring, magical toys that children will be drawn to play with time and time again. The simplicity and open-ended nature of Playsilks tap directly into the child’s creative potential.

    • Open-ended play with Playsilks allows children to express their imagination and support their independence.
    • Nourishing the senses with Playsilks gives the child an amazing tactile experience.
    • Growing with the child sets our Playsilks apart from any other toy, allowing for a limitless range of play possibilities, and years of lasting play value.

Playsilks are made from 100% pure mulberry silk - painted and dyed by hand. They are light weight and airy, providing a wonderful sensory experience while also being easy for children to play and 'work' with.
