Exactly what I was looking for
These are perfect! They are wooden eggs! Not plastic perfection! They have almost the same exact space as the plastic as well. They open no problem for me, and can easily fit an Easter goody inside imo. I can fit mini candies easily. Not a paid review. 100% Honest opinion. I would add pictures and video if I could. I hope to order more as well. I hope this review is helpful.
Beautiful wooden eggs
I love them! Good price and we plan to paint them. My child can open them more easily than I can for some weird reason.
While the eggs we received are beautiful, they do not open as indicated in the pictures, which k was really looking forward to being able to hide stuff inside of them for Easter. Also, they had a sticker on the bottom saying "made in Russia" when the description says made of poplar wood in California. So is the wood just from California...?
Hi Heather, Thank you for your note! If you look very closely, the eggs do have a thin line in the middle where they can be opened. If you put them in the fridge for a few hours, they will be much easier to open :) We apologize for the confusion regarding the wooden egg's country of origin - the product description was written in error and we have since corrected it. Almost all of our other wooden products, that are a part of our permanent collection, are manufactured specifically for Sarah's Silks, by a wonderful woodworking company in Southern California. Since the wooden eggs were purchased with the intention of including them solely in our Easter promotion, we ordered them from a different company than we usually work with. This company is based in North Carolina, and has worked with Russian artists and craftspeople for many years. We purchased a finite amount of wooden eggs from them in November 2021, to be included in our Easter collection. We will absolutely not be purchasing any other products that are made in Russia, either directly or indirectly through other retailers, like we did with the eggs. We apologize for the confusion regarding the wooden egg's country of origin, and can absolutely ensure you that we have not purchased or sold any items that were manufactured in Russia since November of 2021. Update 3/10/22 - After confirming with our wooden egg vendor that all of their stock in this product was imported in 2021, we have decided to continue selling wooden eggs for the duration of our Easter/Spring season, while stock lasts. Since these items were made and imported many months prior to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which both Sarah's Silks and our wooden egg vendor condemn, we feel just in continuing to offer them to our customers.
