December's Nature Table
DECEMBER
The first light of Advent is the light of stones.
Stones that live in crystals, seashells, and bones.
The second light of Advent is the light of plants.
Roots, stem, leaf, flower and fruit by whom we live and grow.
The third light of Advent is the light of beasts.
Animals of farm, field, forest, air and sea.
All await the birth in greatest and the least.
The fourth light of Advent is the light of humankind.
The light of love, the light of thought, to give and to understand.

WHETHER YOUR CELEBRATION of Advent is faith based or secular it is a time of year to make a heart felt connection to the earth, plants, animals and humans. We made our nature table show the spiral walk which represents going inward to find the light that we keep in our hearts all year long. It also has all four elements which you could add to each week- week one is crystals and shells, week two plants, week three animals and week four humans.
