Sarah’s Silks x Moomin

A Soft Welcome to Moominvalley 🌿

Introducing Moomin x Sarah’s Silks + a special giveaway

There is a place where the days move a little slower…

where friends gather without hurry,

where adventure and rest live side by side,

and where being yourself is always enough.

This is Moominvalley.

We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.

In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:

a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.

These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.

Our new collection invites children to step into that world…

to wrap themselves in softness,

to create their own stories,

and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.

To celebrate, we’re offering a Moomin x Sarah’s Silks giveaway.

One winner will receive a curated bundle from our collection.

  • Moomin reminds us all to take life slow and allow our imaginations to run wild. This is exactly the sort of mindset that I want to teach my daughter when she’s playing and exploring the world. ♡ My favorite character from the Moominvalley is Little My; she’s tiny but fierce (just like my daughter)! I’m excited to experience many fun days playing with Sarah’s Silks and seeing how my daughter uses her imagination in her very own fierce and fantastic way.

  • My daughter just turned 5, and we’ve been reading Moomin books since she was born! We’ve read all of them, but her favorite book is an old copy of The Moomins and the Great Flood from 1945 that was gifted to us from a dear friend. We received it after she had already memorized all the picture books from beginning to end… and even though it isn’t a picture book, it is her absolute favorite! If she had to choose, her favorite character from Moominvalley is Moominmamma.. though she adores them all. She and I spend so much time doing imaginative play, and we have even tried to create “the house that Moominpappa built” out of our couch cushions, laundry drying rack and silks and blankets.. inside we would have tea parties and eat pancakes with jam from Moominmamma. This special Moomin collection would mean so much to her.

  • I used to love playing pretend and dress up as a kid. I’m so glad my daughter can use your silks to do the same thing as me when I was little. It brings back so many memories.

  • We love the Moomins at our house. We think they look like hippos and enjoy the Baby’s first Moomin books.

  • We only recently discovered Sarah’s Silks and my daughter is obsessed. Our favorite of this collection is the Moomin Tresure hunt playfort and the Moomin Alphabet silk. We are so excited for this collection.

  • I am so excited about this collection and loved Moomin for years and years and years. He’s such a big part of cartoon culture. He spread all the way across the world. I even sought out Moomin in Tokyo where I found a cute pop-up coffee shop truck! Moomin means the world to me!!!

  • Snuffkin, he reminds me of summers spent with my older cousins in Fucecchio where would look for sticks in the fields to make staffs.

  • I never knew the Moomins as a kid, but I have a beautiful Moomin tea tin that a good friend brought me as a souvenir from a summer in Finland when we were in college, so they always remind me of her and of tea, and I’m excited to introduce my son to them!

  • My favorites are Moomin and Snufkin. I actually only got to know about them as an adult but I love the gentleness and whimsy they have. My 1.5y toddler is actually wearing a Moomin pajama as I’m writing this.

  • Watching my sons’ imaginations grow while they pretend play is possibly the happiest feeling I get. The stories are so intricate and wholesome and while they can use absolutely whatever is around them (my eldest had a whole world built around one crayon and one marker!), these would be so beautiful to fuel their creativity.

  • We love imaginative play in our house! Allowing my son to play in his own ways has boosted his confidence and gives him space to figure things out. We love using his silks and cars to play all sorts of way!
