We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.
In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:
a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.
These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.
Our new collection invites children to step into that world…
to wrap themselves in softness,
to create their own stories,
and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.

This collection is adorable! Ever since purchasing our first pieces from Sarah’s Silks, my children have had expanded their imaginations. I love joining them in their play with the silk pieces, as an elementary school teacher I can see the developmental milestones happening before my eyes.

17w pregnant with my first, my dreams came true finding out she’s a girl. facing a lot of fears and worries, i decided to cut out the news and scrolling socials especially tiktok. redirected my attention to choosing toys and clothes for her, sarah’s silks were the first thing i purchased and was totally blown away by their beauty when i received them a few days ago. i had been reading dylan thomas throughout first tri but they had become anxiety inducing as well. my best friend from moscow introduced me to the moomins years ago as her favorite childhood stories, i collected a few of the books without finishing one. after waking up crying from horrific nightmares, my husband got me out of the house the beach. we asked each other what book we should bring along. something made me remember the moomins collecting dust on the shelf so i threw it in the beach bag. i have to say ive never laughed out loud so much at any book. it has to be the one of the most purely, brilliantly, flawlessly, prophetically written children’s works of all time. for all ages, the moomins harness a healing power, similar to winnie the pooh, but instead of crying, you’re laughing hysterically. would recommend to anyone, any child, any expectant mother or father, anyone struggling or just likes to laugh, to join the moomin universe on their otherworldly curious and imaginative journeys. they inspire play like no other. thanks for listening 🤍

I love the playful scenes and colors! Imagative play is my favorite to watch my sweet child come up with different ways to use the sliks is my favorite! Something that seems so simple leaves wonderful memories and makes for a great time!

I never imagined Moomins taking over my little one’s imagination but she’s absolutely, totally, adorably OBSESSED with the world of Moominvalley. She knows every character and every morning before my husband leaves for work she has to pretend to be asleep so he can say: “wake up Moominpappa!” She has a Snufkin and Moomin doll that always go with us everywhere. Most days I am Moominmamma, and she is Moomin, unless she’s feeling spunky and then she’s Little My. She does the BEST Little My voice and scowl.
We have so many Moomin books and have to read “a happy special Moomin story” most nights before bed or when we wake up in the morning. And any time the Groke comes up, my daughter says, “you know mama, the Groke is scary, but the Groke is really our friend!” I just love that Moomins are having a revolution in this day and age. The stories are so sweet and we love the focus on family, friendship and facing fears. Moomins will always have a special place in my heart and I love that the stories are not just for children and have deep and meaningful themes.
