Sarah’s Silks x Moomin

A Soft Welcome to Moominvalley 🌿

Introducing Moomin x Sarah’s Silks + a special giveaway

There is a place where the days move a little slower…

where friends gather without hurry,

where adventure and rest live side by side,

and where being yourself is always enough.

This is Moominvalley.

We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.

In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:

a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.

These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.

Our new collection invites children to step into that world…

to wrap themselves in softness,

to create their own stories,

and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.

To celebrate, we’re offering a Moomin x Sarah’s Silks giveaway.

One winner will receive a curated bundle from our collection.

  • Children learn through play and I am a dedicated Sarah’s Silk consumer, personally and professionally. Children need to experience a variety of hands-on activities and Sarah’s Silks focus is just that. Keep doing what you are doing, I love your creative spirit. Gina Redinger

  • Imaginative play, to me, is getting a front-row seat to how my child sees the world.

It’s watching a piece of silk become a cape, an ocean, or a castle. It’s seeing how my child can create a whole world out of almost nothing, guided by his curiosity and imagination.

As a mom, it’s also a reminder to slow down. To sit on the floor, follow the child’s lead, and step into a softer, more magical version of life.

  • I love how moomin brings out my own personal child play. It brings back memories of when play was the only thing on the agenda. These playsilks have brought back imagination that I thought I’d lost! I love playing with them with my daughter. These in particular fill me with nostalgia.

  • I love the slow days as a child when all you have is the now. Right in front of you the soft fabric, the imagination, the creation of wonder and curiosity. Creating a magical world with sheets and a flashlight under the stars or in the living room, being a kid is living in the moment.

  • I love Sarah silks and The Moomins. We randomly found out about the moomins when it came up on YouTube after something we were watching. I automatically fell in love with it. I remember cuddling my twin daughters and watching it. A lot of times now when we watch, I love to make pancakes after. Both my daughter’s favorite character is the hobgoblin weirdly enough. They love talking about the hobgoblin. 😂 Imaginative play is so important in our household. Growing up my dad always played in such creative ways with us and I look back so fondly on those memories and now it’s so special being a mom and being on the other side of it and getting to create adventures with my girls.

  • I grew up in Finland and Moomins were part of my childhood. I am so excited to see the Moomins gain popularity around the world.

  • Moominvalley Silk offer a beautiful setting to start many happy play scenarios. A lot of adults think imaginative play is just something kids do, but honestly, it’s for everyone. When you dive into pretend play, you can be anyone, go anywhere, and step outside the usual day‑to‑day stuff. It’s a chance to loosen up and feel free.
For kids, imaginative play is doing way more than keeping them busy. It helps them think creatively, follow simple directions, build their language skills, get better at socialising, and learn how to handle their emotions. Through play, they’re practising all the little skills that help them grow and make sense of the world. Moominvalley is a magical place to be.

  • For me, the character Little My encapsulates a timeless reflection of adventurous childhood – independent, determined, and even fierce, all in the package of a young child. Sometimes being small with so many big ideas and dreams can feel like too much to hold, and imaginative play helps express, plan and even realize those dreams.

  • I am not sure why we missed most of Tove’s books when my children were young. Thank you for recreating these and adding to the magic of Grandparenthood!

  • We are big Moomin fans in our house! I’ve felted a Moomin because anything Moomin is hard to find here. Soooo cool to see a Moomin – Sarah’s Silk collab

  • My two year old loves Moomin, but has a deeper, more persistent love of capes and forts, wings and table cloths, waterfalls, swimming pools, veils, etc. His imagination will not be stopped, but I would prefer he stop stealing my scarves and sheets and towels.
