We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.
In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:
a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.
These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.
Our new collection invites children to step into that world…
to wrap themselves in softness,
to create their own stories,
and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.

I love imaginative play because I get to see how my children use their minds! My eldest uses playsilks as pretend long hair, Batman capes, and his “flower powers” of making flowers. It gives me pure joy and heals my inner child in the process. ❤️

This collection is everything I could have wanted as a child! I loved Moomin and try to bring callback from my own childhood into my son’s, so it’s heartwarming to know that I can introduce him to a beloved character of mine in such a creative and open ended way!

As a half-Finn, Moomins have been with me since my early childhood and I LOVE them. They are so comforting and there is something for everybody in the Moominvalley. My favourite character is Moominmamma, my daughter loves Haisuli :)) I would love to return to the Finnish Moominvalley this or next summer with my daughter and bring back also my childhood memories.

I have always loved the moomin valley stories ❤️ As a child I used to watch the animated show, and my favourite character was snufkin or Snusmumriken in Swedish. I also feel connected to Tove Jansson since we share the same birthday ☺️

I grew up with my father reading the moomin books my grandma read to me. Now I’m sharing the joy of Moomins with my children. Growing up, I always loved thingumy and bob, now it’s the Hemulens that make me laugh.

Our kids love Moomin so much. Our 8mo old daughter carries a Moomin plush almost everywhere with her and our son loves Snufkin so much! This is so wonderful – the best of both worlds!
