A Soft Welcome to Moominvalley 🌿
Introducing Moomin x Sarah’s Silks + a special giveaway
There is a place where the days move a little slower…
where friends gather without hurry,
where adventure and rest live side by side,
and where being yourself is always enough.
This is Moominvalley.
We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.
In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:
a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.
These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.
Our new collection invites children to step into that world…
to wrap themselves in softness,
to create their own stories,
and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.
To celebrate, we’re offering a Moomin x Sarah’s Silks giveaway.
One winner will receive a curated bundle from our collection.

Oh my goodness, This collaboration is a beautiful collection of imaginative play opportunities! One of the things I love most about imaginative play is where a simple day can become an adventure through a child’s eyes. It’s how creativity, wonder, and storytelling come to life. Moomin offers children a world that so many of us long for these days. It reminds us to slow down and see the world with curiosity again.

There is nothing so special to witness than children’s imaginary play and Moomin is such a kind and gentle soul. In a world of technology and video games, we are blessed to have places like Sarah’s Silks to shop for gifts that feed children’s imagination.

I love imaginative play because it turns ordinary moments into magic. I love watching my kids create little worlds and watching their creativity grow.

Imaginative play means more to me than just a special way of playing, it’s something that has carried me through some of my most trying times. As a young girl, I’d get lost in stories and worlds that I’d create from my toys and imagination. Fairies became my friends, small animals became family and worlds became safe places I’d spend my time in. As an adult, this has carried over to playing with my children and reading wonderful works of fiction that continue to feel like safe spaces and warm hugs. Sometimes, this world feels heavy. I’m so thankful that my family and I have created a culture of imaginative play that where we can always find a cozy home, a festive tea party and a warm friend.

There are stories you enjoy, and then there are the ones that become part of you, and for me and my family it is Moominvalley. Reading these cute stories to my daughter before bed. Through the Moomins everyone could feel welcomed in a way, When I later found Tove Jansson’s adult books, I realized that the same gentle world also holds loneliness and deep understanding. She wrote with a way of never trying to fix life, only to sit with the beautiful, happy, loneliness, or the magic. I love her work because it reminds me that softness and sadness can exist together, and that there is a place with the light left on. We love Sarah silks toys, my daughter sleeps with the silks & she plays with them in the sun and wind. She loves her Winnie the Pooh toys, too! It’s pretty much the only company that we play with, and it really sparks her imagination.

Imaginative play means building creativity and making your own world to me! It is so special and such a great way to build those skills at a young age. Sarah’s playsilk is a great way to foster imagination through play.

Imaginative play to me is watching my little girl discover the world in her own magical way. Turning everyday moments into something special. It’s where wonder lives 🤍
