We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.
In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:
a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.
These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.
Our new collection invites children to step into that world…
to wrap themselves in softness,
to create their own stories,
and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.

When we were children, my brother and I read all of the Moomin stories from my mom’s childhood books. We make believe played the characters (I was Snorkmaiden) and to this day still quote our favorite lines. My 2 year old daughter was introduced to Moomin through one of her first board books and immediately became one of her favorites. We are entering the wonderful age of imaginative play and stepping into her world has been an awakening of my own inner child.

My daughter is only 8 months old and already OBSESSED with Sarah’s silks – and Moomin too! This collab is basically her dream come true, and watching her light up when Moominmamma comes on or giggle when Stinky is being mischievous just makes our day. Little My is such a fierce, brave young girl that I secretly hope my daughter learns from and looks up to as well! We love that she gets to immerse herself in imaginative stories and play alongside Sarah’s silks at such a young age, and will continue to build her special collection that will be treasured by our family for years to come :)

This collection is so cute! Pretend play is one of the most treasured kinds of play in our home. Silks can become almost anything – I’ve seen them become baby carriers, tents, capes, scarves, magic carpets, picnic blankets, and more. Excited to see what they think of with these beautiful silks!
