A Soft Welcome to Moominvalley 🌿
Introducing Moomin x Sarah’s Silks + a special giveaway
There is a place where the days move a little slower…
where friends gather without hurry,
where adventure and rest live side by side,
and where being yourself is always enough.
This is Moominvalley.
We are so happy to share our Moomin x Sarah’s Silks collection, inspired by Tove Jansson’s beloved world — a place that has quietly held generations of children (and grown-ups) in its gentle wisdom.
In Moominvalley, stories unfold in simple ways:
a picnic, a wander, a moment of courage, a return home.
These are the same rhythms we hold dear in children’s play — open-ended, imaginative, and deeply nourishing.
Our new collection invites children to step into that world…
to wrap themselves in softness,
to create their own stories,
and to discover that creativity itself is a kind of healing.
To celebrate, we’re offering a Moomin x Sarah’s Silks giveaway.
One winner will receive a curated bundle from our collection.

I grew up with all the little creatures of Moominvalley and feel so fortunate to return to this magical place with my son. Thank you for making sharing with him even easier.

We love all of the endless possibilities with all of the silks! It could be a cape one day, a blanket another, a table cloth
or a fort covering the next!! These are staples in our home!

I love when my girls imagine themselves in stories theyve heard or seen. It’s always a little different and I enjoy how they change small things to include what they’ve learned about or wish could happen. Their growing imaginations show me that they are curious, brave, and find wonder in life.

We love the Moomins! We visited the Laplands of Finland this last January and discovered the Moomins. My 4 year old loves his Moomin books.

I’m so excited for the Sarah’s Silks x Moomin collaboration! My 18-month-old daughter already loves Moomin (“Moo Moo,” as she calls him), but her absolute favorite is Little My. She carries her Little My stuffie everywhere and calls out “My! My!” whenever it’s not in sight.
I love that she will grow up with these characters and the imagination of Moominvalley, especially Little My’s fearless, mischievous spirit.

I didn’t know about the Moomins until I had my boy. He absolutely adores Moomintroll’s kindness and Snufkin’s adventures.

I recently discovered Sarah’s play silks and received my first order to share with my granddaughter in Japan…a gift I can mail without spending a hundred dollars on postage! And since we have a long distance video call relationship I can’t wait for her to relieve her silks and show her mine. This is a great new way to interact in a tactile way since mostly I’m playing ukelele and /or singing. She loved silk scarf play the one time I got to see her in person for a month when she was just 4-5 months old.
It’s a beautiful way to connect 🥰 I will share silks media when we do our first silky time videocall which I am so looking fwd to !
Sending her a big rainbow silk with fort clips and some other seek and find silks I will photograph on my end so I know what to talk about/prompt her to look for when she looks at them but they are beautiful and I’ll be a little sad to not have them in my personal clutches.
Lily is a year and a half old now and has a sibling on the way so I also bought the Winnie the pooh inflatable balloon ball silk ahead if time for the new baby but I do wish I bought 2!
I was delighted to see moomin products for my little Japanese Kewpie doll and happily snatched up the moomin abc silk for Lily.
So it would have me a superhero long-distance granny to win a moomin set! I’m on disability so I don’t have much spare money and I’d be so thrilled to send it to my grandbabies in Japan to showoff to all their little playmates ! My dtr hosts the cutest playdates and a lovely community of moms there, many Japanese but also many international friends bc of her job at publishing company. Thanks for reading and I’m happy to be your biggest new silks fan ❤️

Will have to find an appropriate place! Anybody else doing long distance love for kids or grandkids etc? Point me in that direction bc it’s a special kind of bittersweet effort 🫂

Such a sweet collection, we love moominvalley. I love how its slow paced and cozy. Imaginative play is the way to keep magic in the mundane, im fostering it heavily with my children because for me as an adult magic in the mundane has helped me get through tough times . And I remember as a child I was still playing with dolls when my peers had outgrown all of that and I feel it is what has helped me keep my whimsy and to not take life to serious I really want all that for my kiddos so yes its very important to us to keep imaginative play alive and well for as long as we can.
